When it comes to achieving greatness, we usually think there are two paths: one big, drastic change or small, continuous improvements over time.
Most people want the quick win. The instant success story. But over time, I’ve learned this quote is true:
“Anything that comes fast, goes quick.”
Real, lasting success is built differently. It’s built through consistency, discipline, and a commitment to getting just a little better every day.
That’s the idea behind our mindset at Forward Science:
1% better every day.
Whether you’re building a business, developing a product, getting stronger, or chasing a personal goal, the process is the same. Big results rarely happen overnight — they happen through small wins compounded over time.
That’s how Forward Science was built.
We didn’t start with a massive building, outside funding, or a huge team. We started in a spare bedroom and garage with two engineers focused on building the right foundation. Day by day, we developed our FDA quality systems, operational processes, training platforms, and products — always trying to improve from the day before.
We weren’t focused on competing with the “big players” in the industry. We were focused on growth, consistency, and building something that could last.
Along the way, we turned down plenty of quick wins — products and opportunities that may have created fast success but didn’t align with our mission, science, or long-term vision. Instead, we chose the slower path: investing in innovation, research, and products we truly believed could change lives.
And over time, those small improvements compounded into something much bigger than we imagined.
The same applies in life.
Whether it’s sports, business, or personal growth, greatness usually isn’t found in shortcuts. It’s found in the daily commitment to improve, work hard, and keep showing up — even when progress feels small.
